Easily manage multiple iTunes libraries.
iTunes Library Manager makes back up copies of the current iTunes Music Library database file and iTunes Preferences, allowing you to maintain two or more libraries each with its own preferences settings.
For example, you can have one "Main Library" which contains all your songs and playlists, and another which just contains your "Holiday Music" songs and playlists.
Additionally, because each library is saved and loaded with its associated preferences, you can create many different configurations for different uses. For instance, you can assign each library its own designated Music Folder, and keep a directory of audio files on your computer and another distinct directory of audio files on another volume, network drive or external drive; different libraries can have different Sharing, Burning or Importing settings, too. The flexibility is awesome.
iTunes Library Manager cannot manage multiple libraries created with iTunes' multiple library feature (initiated by holding the option key when activating iTunes). Each uses a different back up routine.

Registering
Download iTunes Library Manager version 5.1 now.
Please note: Versions prior to 5.0 cannot be upgraded for free. New registration codes do not work with any version before v5.0. You must download iTLM version 5.1 and then purchase a registration code.
The unregistered version of iTunes Library Manager will allow you to backup and maintain two libraries. Registered users of pre-5.0 versions will have access to their current libraries, but new libraries cannot be created without a new registration code.
After you pay the $10.00 shareware fee, you will receive a registration code which will enable iTunes Library Manager to save as many Libraries as you like. You'll also enable me to continue working on iTunes Library Manager and make it work better for you!
You can make safe and secure payments using your credit card. Just click either the "Kagi" or the "PayPal" button below.
PayPal users: Payments made by PayPal eCheck will take up to 5 business days to clear. As soon as your eCheck clears with PayPal your registration code will be emailed to you. (Your payment will be by eCheck if you do not have a credit card attached to your PayPal account or your PayPal account is "unverified".)
Yahoo mail users: There is a very good chance Yahoo will re-route emails from me to your spam or junk mailbox. As soon as you receive the PayPal confirmation, check these mailboxes for the email containing your registration code. Otherwise, if you don't receive your code, let me know; it may take me a day or two to manually send you a code.
Currently, I can only accept payments electronically via PayPal and Kagi. For other payment options, please email me at dougscripts at mac dot com.
If you have any problems, ideas or suggestions, please email me.
