Show Meta-Data for Track v1.0

Trackographer v1.0

This Stay-Open applet will monitor iTunes and send tag information from each playing track (including radio streams if they provide track info) to a text file. Preferences can be set to include or not include various basic tags and to create a plain text file or a tab-delimited text file which can be imported into a spreadsheet.

Copy To Lyrics (Service) v1.1

This is a service for the Services menu. When run from the Services menu of any application, it will copy the selected text from that application to the Lyrics of a single selected iTunes track.

Created using the ThisService application. Original AppleScript is included as well as instructions for installing the service.

List Folder Files Not Added v1.2

This script will create a text file listing the file paths of any audio files which are not in the iTunes database. The default folder searched is your designated "Music" folder, however you can select any folder or volume that may contain audio files at any level.

This script relies on Spotlight and thus requires Mac OS X 10.4 or better.

Print Helper

This script will store your current iTunes Print Window settings so you can apply those same settings to the Print Window dialog at a later date by running the script again. GUI Scripting must be enabled on your computer, instructions are included.

iTunes will automatically remember the settings you have set in the Print Window dialog while it is running. However, if you Quit iTunes, those settings are lost and iTunes will default to "CD jewel case insert" and "Text only" theme when restarted. This script stores your current iTunes Print Window settings. When you run the script later you can apply those stored settings to the Print Window dialog.

Access Stream Address v1.2

This script gets the internet address from the currently playing URL track and displays it in a dialog text box so it can be sent to the clipboard or your browser. Normally, you can see this info in iTunes in the track's Get Info window, but you cannot git at it. Results are not always fruitful.

Clipboard to Lyrics Scripts v1.0.1

Two scripts, "Clipboard to Current Track's Lyrics" and "Clipboard to Selected Track's Lyrics" will copy text from the clipboard (text you have copied from a web page, for instance) to, respectively, the current track's or selected track's lyrics. Saves a few mouse-clicks anyway. I've been using these scripts after locating lyrics with Google Lyric Search.

Restore Artist 'Last, First...'

This script will juxtapose the text on either side of ", " in the selected tracks' Artist tags to restore formats, e.g:

"Ellington, Duke" becomes "Duke Ellington"
"Russell, Pee Wee" becomes "Pee Wee Russell"
"Johnson, James P." becomes "James P. Johnson"
"King, B.B." becomes "B.B. King"

Read Me explains methodology.
