Various methods for sending info about tracks and playlists elsewhere.

Playlist Names to Text File

This script will export all the Playlist names of the selected Source to a text file. The Source is determined by whatever Playlist is currently selected: if you have an iPod Playlist selected, all iPod Playlists names will be exported; if you have an iTunes library Playlist selected, then all iTunes Playlist names will be exported. Handy for printing lists of your Playlists.

iTunes was playing...

Puts the name and artist (or composer instead, if it exists) of the currently playing track into the clipboard to be pasted wherever you like, like so: [iTunes was playing "Mambo No. 8" by Perez Prado while I was writing this.] If using iTunes Radio, the genre (if available) and name of the stream are similarly clipboarded. Read Me explains more and how to configure.

Album-Artist to HTML Table

This script builds an HTML table based on the Album-Artist pairs contained in the selected iTunes Playlist and saves it as an HTML document. Additionally, the tracks of each album can also be listed (be sure to see Read Me), and various HTML formatting options can be turned on and off. Looks and prints OK in TextEdit, also.

Album-Artist to Text File

This script exports a list of Albums and Artists from the selected iTunes Playlist as a tabbed text file; perhaps for later import into a spreadsheet or database program (tested with Excel). Choose "Album-Artist" or "Artist-Album" ordering. Optionally, song titles can be included in a third tabbed-column.

iTunes -> NFO

This droplet takes an .export file created by iTunes' standard export command and generates a .nfo file with summary and detail information for the tracks. (A .nfo file is just a standard text file with a .nfo extension added. This is common among the mp3 binaries newsgroups since many news servers will strip .txt files out of binaries newsgroups.) Read me explains more.
